How long should my wick be?
Before burning your candle for any length of time, give your wick a quick trim to no more than 1/4" in length for the best results
What is tunneling and how can I avoid it?
Tunneling is what happens when your candle burns all the way down to the bottom of the wick, but you're still left with wax along the edges of your vessel. To avoid tunneling, always trim your wick to 1/4" in length before you light it - every time. Once your candle is lit, let it burn until you have a pool of melted wax that covers the perimeter of your candle. Depending on the size of your candle, this will likely take 1-2 hours of burning time to achieve. To help avoid tunneling, we add additional wicks for larger candles to maximize the burn time you get out of your candle without compromising and risking a tunneling candle
